The Ulaanbaatar City Transport Authority and Chinggis Khaan International Airport have launched an express bus special service covering the route to and from Chinggis Khaan International Airport.

The express bus service has been effective from June 24th as a test. The express buses will be presented for the route to and from the Airport on July 3rd.

Lotot LLC has been charged with running the express bus service as a part of the public transport service.  The express bus will charge each passenger between 1000 to 2000 MNT per ticket.

According to a study 67 percent of people who head to the airport take their own vehicle whereas 23 percent take a taxi. It is 16 km from the city center to Chinggis Khaan International Airport. It is estimated that every person who heads to the airport spends approximately 12,000 MNT on transportation.

The express bus service will lower the cost of transport by at least six times. The express bus will be available to passengers from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm depending on the scheduled arrivals and departures. The express bus will run the route once every hour.
The bus will collect passengers at the bus stop at the Mongolian State University of Education and from the State Central Library and will disembark at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport. The express bus is expected to travel the route between the Mongolian State University of Education and Nisekh.
