The Foreign Minister of Mongolia L.Bold received Argentina Matavel Piccin for the leaving of her position as UNFPA representative to Mongolia on June 24th.

Foreign Minister L.Bold thanked Mrs. Argentina Matavel Piccin for her great work in Mongolia over the past three and a half years. He made note of her contribution to providing data and surveys directed by programs of UNFPA, supporting the development of Mongolian youth, paying attention to vulnerable groups of society to reduce infant and maternity deaths and improving the potentiality and strength of the representative office in Mongolia.

During her term, Mrs Argentina Matavel Piccin, as UNFPA Representative to Mongolia looked at the progress towards the accomplishment of the Millennium Development Goals. Specifically targets 4 and 5 for maternal and child mortality reduction, the technical and financial assistance census of population and property, the establishment of a 15 member UN youth assistant group and the launch of a Youth Development project.

At the end of the farewell meeting Foreign Minister L.Bold  wished luck to Mrs Argentina Matavel Piccin in her next mission and presented her with a Gold Gerege.
