According to the law on the Election of the President of Mongolia, the Presidential Election voting for overseas absentee voters began on Friday June 14th.

The sub-electoral commissions, established in 39 Mongolian diplomatic representative offices in 39 countries, registered 6,478 overseas absentee voters to vote for the presidential election.

The voting for overseas absentee voters finishes according to the date scheduled in the law. The reports delivered at 08.00 am Monday morning from the sub-electoral commissions in the diplomatic representative offices confirm that 4,161 voters have cast their votes for the presidential election.

But due to the different time zones the voting in some countries has yet to finish.
