Hakuho M.Davaajargal, the 69th Yokozuna of Japanese Grand Sumo is reported to be planning to compete in the National wrestling competition this summer.

He has held the Japanese Emperor`s Cup 25 times. Hakuho Davaajargal is the youngest son of the National Wrestling Champion J.Munkhbat.

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the establishment of Tuv aimag. So Hakuho announced his plans to a Japanese journal  to challenge the local Naadam festival dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Tuv aimag where his father was born.

Hakuho said “there will be a Naadam festival organized in my father`s birth place, Tuv aimag, marking the 90th anniversary of the establishment on July 26th and 27th.

I will begin training for the National Wrestling Game after finishing Nagoya Basho on July 22nd. It was exciting when I arrived in my home country and did wrestling with native Mongolian wrestlers just a few days ago. I am a son of a Mongolian National Wrestling Champion. It makes me think of challenging the national wrestling arena. I was invited to the local Naadam as an honorary guest. But I told them I would want to fight on National Wrestling stage. For me as Yokozuna of Grand Sumo it will be a mess if I lose in the National Mongolian Wrestling stage. But I though why should I not try?
