The Ulemjiin chanar poetry festival dedicated to Dogshin Noyon Khutagt Danzanravjaa (“Terrible Noble Saint of the Gobi”), the Fifth incarnation of the Gobi Noyon Khutagt, is to be organized with the support of the Governor of Dornogovi aimag. This year is the 210th anniversary of Dogshin Noyon Khutagt Danzanravjaa`s birthday.

The poetry festival will be held in Sainshand in Dornogovi aimag on July 3rd and 4th.

Poets who want to take part in the festival should submit at least two poems about Danzanravjaa or his birthplace, Dornogovi aimag,

The festival will run in three phases. A selected 15 poets will compete for the final phase. Dornogobi aimag announced the recognition of the reincarnation of Noyon Khutagt last March.

The local religious community welcomed and elevated the 9th Noyon Khutagt  to his seat at Khamar Monastery in Dornogobi aimag in April.
