
Around 3000 BJJ athletes in a total of 16 different classes (nine female and seven male) in four belt categories competed.
The Mongolian BJJ team headed to the the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship with 13 BJJ athletes under the leadership of trainer and coach of the Champion Sport Institute, B.Altanzul.
Mongolian BJJ Sugarjargal Boldpurev won bronze in the male ultra heavy class in the blue belt category. Sugar Myagmar won gold in the female heavy class also in the blue belt category.
Sugar Myagmar is the first Mongolian athlete in to win in the female class at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
