Today is the day that Presidential candidates are able to launch their campaign officially. From May 22nd according to the law on the election of the President of Mongolia selected candidates have the right to begin their campaign.

For the Presidential Election of Mongolia, the current President Ts.Elbegdorj as the candidate for Democratic party (DP), MP B.Bat-Erdene as the candidate of Mongolian People`s Party, (MPP) and the Minister of Health N.Udval as the candidate of Mongolian People`s Revolutionary Party (MPRP) will run. They are to submit their required documents to the General Election Commission.

According to the Presidential election schedule the General Election Commission will hand the certificates to the three candidates today at 10:30 am.

DP candidate Ts.Elbegdorj decided to start his campaign from Dornod aimag. President Ts.Elbegdorj is expected to depart from Ulaanbaatar City today. There is high speculation that the President chose Dornod and Sukhbaatar to start his election campaign because these aimags are  favorable towards Democrats.

MPP candidate B.Bat-Erdene will start his election campaign officially at the Central Cultural Palace  then depart to Khentii aimag where he has been elected already three times before.

But MPRP candidate N.Udval is scheduled to see the students of the Health Sciences University after receiving the candidate`s certificate today. Only after a party meeting will it be clear which aimag she will visit to begin her campaign. MPRP candidate N.Udval will receive her certificate in the ASA circus today.
