
Eight qualified boxers who won in the State Boxing Championship will have joint training along with boxers from six different countries in Moldavia for ten days. This is the first time that Mongolian boxers are to have training along side boxers from various other countries.
After the training, two boxing competitions in Cuba are waiting for them. The eight Mongolian boxers will compete in the Annual Giraldo Cordova Cardin Memorial Boxing Tournament and in the Roberto Balado Cup in Cuba.
The boxers who will fight in the Cuban ring are G.Gan-Erdene (49 kg), D.Enkhdelger (52 kg), N.Tugstsogt (56 kg), D.Otgondalai (60 kg), Z.Enkhzorig (64 kg), B.Tuvshinbat (69 kg), E.Shinebayar (75 kg) and S.Erdenebayar (81 kg).
The Giraldo Cordova Cardin Memorial Boxing Tournament will start on June 4th and will continue for a week in Cuba. The Roberto Balado Cup will follow from 19th to 23rd June.
The second qualified boxing team of Mongolia won a gold and a bronze medal at the International Boxing Tournament in Astana Kazakhstan. A team of eight who left for Kazakhstan competed for the A class International Boxing Tournament dedicated to May 9th Victory day.
Mongolian boxer Otgonjargal won the gold in the 69 kg class and Davaadalai won bronze in the 56 kg class. The team is currently in training along side boxers from various countries in Astana Kazakhstan for their next tournament.
