The Environment and Tourism Minister has canceled 59 licenses
for land use in the Bogd mountain protected area with effect from June 1. The
holders of these licenses have either not paid the required annual fees for more
than two years, or have not dine any development work on the land.

The Administration of the Bogd Mountain Protected Area and
the Khan-Uul district administration will jointly implement the Ministry’s
decision and have been asked to submit a status report to the Minister by July
1.
