Local media recently reported that some members of the Civil-Will and Green Party relinquished membership of the party and that nearly 1000 members left the party.

The head of the Civil-Will Green Party, S.Oyun gave some information on the matter.

-Did nearly 1000 members leave the Civil-Will and Green Party?

-I saw that some people were talking about doing so during a held press conference. But around one hundred or one thousand members did not give up their membership. The ones who claimed so did join us before the June parliamentary election last year. I would not stop them if whether they wish to join or leave us. Because it is their right what to choose. Even though reports say that around 1000 members left the party, actually the reality is that no one left the party. But these people have been seen to have left the party.

-Will you explain why the vice chairman of the party, Kh.Bat-Yalalt, resigned?

-The National Committee meeting of the Civil-Will Green Party was held last month. During the meeting the Secretary General of the party, S.Jargal was dismissed due to complaints and opinions delivered by members. But Kh.Bat-Yalalt announced he would resign his position voluntarily. Party members lost confidence in S.Jargal due to his attempts to slander and cause strife between members. In return we now encounter resistance.

We can take criticism but we won`t agree with unfair, baseless defamation.

-How will the Civil-Will Green Party participate in the Presidential Election?

-The party will hold the National Committee meeting on Friday. The final decision will be made at the meeting. The political council agreed on the promoted DP candidate Ts.Elbegdorj for the Presidential Election. The suggestion will be discussed at the meeting.
