Due to the upcoming Presidential Election political parties in Mongolia have begin to propose names of candidates for the election.

Candidates for the Presidential Election have already been announced for MPP B.Bat-Erdene, MNDP M,Enkhsaikhan and DP Ts.Elbegdorj.

But the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (MPRP) candidacy for the election is still uncertain. MPRP MP O.Baasankhuu said that “the party has proposed five members for the candidacy. MPRP launched a campaign “Justice” in 21 aimags in order to collect polls on those five members and has summarized the poll results.  MPRP will announce the name of the official candidate for the Presidential Election on May 9th during the Assembly meeting of the party.”

But MP O.Baasankhuu refused to name the proposed candidate in advance. He said “I would say the name of the candidate now, but if I did say, it would seem like an appeal.  I think all five members are all promising politicians”
