Just before the Assembly meeting, the MPP Administrative board named four of their members in parliament as preliminary nominations for the Party. The nominations were the head of MPP, O.Enkhtuvshin, MP D.Lundeejantsan, B.Bat-Erdene and D.Oyunkhorol.
The result of the long Assembly meeting were that the majority of the Assembly voted for MP Badmaanyambuu Bat-Erdene as a candidate for the Presidential Election from the MPP.
In the first vote the head of the MPP, O.Enkhtuvshin and MP.B.Bat-Erdene each won by 41 percent while MP D.Lundeejantsan collected 7 percent and D.Oyunkhorol 12.5 percent of the votes.
Enkhtuvshin and Bat-Erdene each then collected 113 votes on the second poll where a total of 227 of the Assembly voted but one vote annulled. So the Assembly conducted the third poll where MP.B.Bat-Erdene collected 9 more votes than the head of MPP, O.Enkhtuvshin.
Therefore B.Bat-Erdene was granted the right to be nominated for the Presidential Election representing MPP.
