MP J.Enkhbayar said that “S.Bayartsogt`s failure to disclose should be discussed at the Ethics Sub-Committee of Parliament and announced publicly. I want to ask what the Ethics Sub-Committee have done for the case. Is it legally possible to dismiss him according to the law on conflict of interest?”
The Chairwoman of the Ethics Sub-Committee, Migeddorj Batchimeg, replied that “the Ethics Sub-Committee will continue to discuss the issue of S.Bayartsogt as an MP”.
MP and Minister of Justice Kh.Temuujin said “the majority of MPP caucus in the former Parliament rejected the article to withdraw an MP during a discussion on the law on conflict interest.
In addition, only the Constitutional Court has the power to dismiss an MP if he is caught in conflicting action. Hence it is one-sided to dismiss S.Bayartsogt from his position as an MP.”
