The Police Department in Choibalsan in Dornod aimag have installed cameras throughout the province centre in order to strengthen security.

The province center, Choibalsan, has becomes the first community equipped with security cameras.

The Vice Chairman of the Police Department in Choibalsan in Dornod aimag, A.Bat-Amgalan, said that “Dornod aimag is exceptional because it borders two neighbouring countries. Therefore the risk of theft and trafficking crimes are more likely. The installation of cameras is aimed to prevent the possible risk of crimes and reveal crimes in urgent circumstances. The installation of cameras was done with the support of Choibalsan representatives to Parliament.

There is still a need to add more cameras in the province centre in he future. The local Administration promised to support the action. Recent reports show that the number of criminal occurrences has decreased due to the camera installation here.”
