
According to election law, a candidate who wins the most votes will be elected to Parliament. The 26th Electoral district announced preliminary election result around 10:30 pm.
As preliminary results, MPP candidate Dolgorsuren Sumiyabazar won with 54 percent of the vote and DP candidate Lombo Erkhembayar lost with 46 percent votes.
Candidates who won seats in the Songinokhairkhan districts in the June parliamentary election did not reach the minimum 28 percent required by Election law.
Therefore the General Election Commission announced a revote for parliamentary election in a district in Songinokhairkhan, Ulaanbaatar.
The Songinokhairkhan electoral district has total 80 sub-electoral stations. The chairman of the 26th Electoral Commission, M.Baasandorj said this morning that the final result has not been heard yet because a sub-electoral station has not delivered its votes count yet. When the General Election Committee receives all the votes from the stations they will announce the final results.
