A police officer was murdered when he was on duty in Burenkhairkhan resident area in Bulgan sum in Khovd aimag on the night of April 1st. The incident occurred in the Buren named local shop when the police officer was shot to death.

Reports claim that the police officers murderers were arrested last night. Three fugitives who escaped from the prison in Khovd were the suspects in the murder. But during the investigation it was revealed that two brothers murdered the police officer and fled from the scene. The brothers, Khuramkhaan Khuatbek, 46 years old and Khyzereak Sapargaly, are from Bayangol resident area in Bulgan sum in Khovd aimag.

Currently the brothers are being questioned in the Police Department in Khovd aimag. The murdered police officer, only 23 years old, was living with his mother and younger sibling. He was appointed to the Police Department in Khovd aimag last January.

The officer will be buried today. Police, friends and family will gather to give him his final farewell.
