Local police revealed that an Irkutskii trade house in Bayanzurkh district in Ulaanbaatar city was a place of prostitution.

Irkutskii trade house, a subsidiary of Russian house LLC, a 100 percent Russian owned company in the area of 14th khoroo, across from the Film Industry in Bayanzurkh district, was forcing Mongolian girls into prostitution to foreigners under the name of a special service to tourists. The operation has been closed down.

Criminal police have revealed that this was not the first time that Russians have attempted to prostitute Mongolian girls to foreigners. According to a source close to the matter the organization was discovered in action when girls were selected to serve ten clients supposedly from Japan.

The Criminal Police Department’s Organized Crime Division initiated a criminal case against Russians involved with the case.  Beside this a sauna and massage parlor at Irkutskii trade house was closed down.
