Custom Officers at Zamiin-Uud Customs revealed 1.5 million Chinese Yuan being carried by a Mongolian citizen in an attempt to smuggle the money through Mongolian Customs on Tuesday morning. 

The suspect attempted to smuggle 1.5 million Chinese Yuan by hiding it separately in two parts of their belongings through the Mongolian border. But Custom Officers arrested the suspect on charges of falsely reported assets and attempting to smuggle a large amount of currency through customs. The suspect was transferred to the Police in order to for an investigation to begin.

Custom Officers said that if a civilian reports their assets according to law, there will no trouble.

Since the New Year, Custom Officers have revealed 10 criminal incidents and 200 administrative offenses that have been solved.
