The Prime Minister, Altankhuyag Norov, delivered greetings to delegates of “corps diplomatique” in Ulaanbaatar City for the Year of the Victorious Water Snake according to the Lunar Calendar. The Mongolian Government annually receives diplomats who come to show respect for the traditional Tsagaan Sar celebration.

The Prime Minister stated at the beginning of the meeting that “as you know Tsagaan Sar is about the joy of meeting brothers and sisters, relatives and friends. Therefore we show our respects to diplomats representing their home countries showing that Mongolia maintains friendly relations.”

The Prime Minister also introduced something specials for Tsagaan Sar, the meaning of the customs and greetings of the days of celebration in Mongolia.

The Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism, Ts.Oyungerel, explained some popular examples of how to treat and understand traditional customs and rituals from Mongolia.
