The Mongolian Boxing Federation will hold the premier State Boxing Championship of the year.

This year’s competition is dedicated to the State prized coach, a 20th century leading figure, B.Batbayar. The decision was made a week earlier at the Mongolian Olympic Boxing Federation Competition.

The State Boxing Championship began with an opening ceremony at hall A in the Central Sport Palace on Monday. Over 200 competitors from 28 organizations are competing for the State Championship.

Female competitors are competing in the 51 kg, 60 kg and 71 kg categories of the three main Olympic classes. Male competitors will be challenged in10 different classes according to rules by the International Boxing Federation.

The State Boxing Championship runs from January 28th to March 3rd.
The semi final competition will be organized on March 2nd with the final competition for prize winners being on March 3rd.
