18 night clubs, bars, restaurants and cafes and three food shops along Bayantseel shopping mall in 7th Khoroo of Bayanzurkh district have been closed. The Department of Food, Sale and Services of the Municipal Governor`s Office revoked their special licenses for over-running their time table, serving alcohol to under 21 year olds and failing to meet standards on food and services.

The inspection to these services was done upon the request of N.Naranbaatar, a member of the Residents` Representative Khural in Bayanzurkh district.

Our journalist spoke to O.Narantuya, the Chief of the Department on Food, Sale and Services of the Municipal Governor`s Office.

-Will the revoked special licenses be re-administered?

-The licenses can be recovered only if the establishments fix the wrong-doings and run properly according to a normal time table.

We demand difficult requirements. When a law on alcohol is passed numerous night clubs and bars will be closed and bars in basements of apartments will be closed down.

The State Specialized Agency will focus on food quality and service standards of these places.
