The Criminal Police Department is investigating a number of suspects who are allegedly laundering money and committing fraud via MIAT Mongolian Airlines.

According to local media the suspects disappeared and all contact with them was lost after the MIAT money laundering case was revealed. 

The suspects are brothers, the former CEO of MIAT, B.Erdenebileg and the director of Mongolian air transport, Mongol Ceramic, B.Mandakhbayar.

The suspect B.Mandakhbayar was previously being investigated by the Chingeltei District Police for abusing a police officer while he was on duty.

Also Ts.Orkhon, the former director of MIAT is being investigated for laundering a large amount of money along with the others.

The former head of the State Property Committee, D.Sugar, is also a potential suspect  in the case says another source.

The Criminal Police Department promised to keep information securely and safely by offering a reward for any information about the suspects B.Erdenebileg and B.Mandakhbayar.
