Enkhsaikhan Mendsaikhan, the ex-CEO of Ulaanbaatar Railway Mongolian-Russian Joint Stock Venture (UBTZ), who was recently dismissed, held a press conference with journalists on Thursday.

During the press conference Enkhsaikhan Mendsaikhan raised concerns over the current Mongolian railway system. He noted that the Mongolian economy and even the future of Mongolia will depend on how the Mongolian-Russian Joint Stock Venture (UBTZ) is managed.

Enkhsaikhan said that the statement he made to journalists had also been discussed at the Cabinet meeting three times.

None of the National Security Council members deny the statements he has made on the railway issues.

According to the dismissed CEO of Ulaanbaatar Railway Mongolian-Russian Joint Stock Venture (UBTZ) the Government has wasted almost 40 billion MNT on so called railway development. Enkhsaikhan said that if such failures are not rectified more than 400 million MNT will have been wasted. Therefore he made these statements to journalists and called Kh.Battulga, the Minister for Industry and Agriculture, for an open debate over the current issues.
