The chairman of high schools and kindergartens will now be chosen in a competitive selection process because of an amendment to the education law. The mayor was given the order by the Education agency of the capital city. Not all chairmen of kindergartens and schools will be changed. There will be a competitive select over the candidates and those who are selected will remain as chairmen.

Today parents are criticizing that the chairmen of schools and kindergartens are recruited through nepotism and connections and that there is embezzlement of school property causing a bad effect on students’ studies. The parents criticize will lessen if there is a competitive selection process.

The candidates can participate in the selection if they have been working for more than 5 years in the education sector and have a major in teaching in preschool education and more than a bachelor degree.
