Dakar Rally 2013 is special to Mongolians this year because this is the first time Mongolian athletes D.Boldbaatar and N.Lhamaa have competed in the rally. 

Unfortunately one of Mongolias best auto-masters, the international master D.Boldbaatar, has left the rally. During the fifth start, he had to leave the rally due to a broken wheel on his “KTM” motorcycle.

According to the rules of the rally, if there are any breaks to parts of the motorcycle they are allowed to be repaired during the rally. But if broken parts need to be changed the competitor is disqualified and must leave the rally.

D.Boldbaatar`s motorcycle unfortunately needed a new part so he left the rally. In the results of the 5th start he was ranked at 97th place.

International master N.Lhamaa is ranked at 174th with his Yamaha motorcycle.
He was ranked 108th on Saturday`s 8th start with a time of 03:03:29.

He is now ranked 113th in the total scores.

The rally is continuing from the 9th start from San Miguel De Tukuman to Cordoba. The motorcyclists will drive 852 km.

The champions of the Dakar rally are expected to win on January 20th.
