The baby that was washed with boiling water has recovered 90 percent from the severe burns according to local reports. The incident where a local hospital nurse washed a baby girl with hot water occurred in Bayankhongor aimag on December 29th. 

The incident was first discovered by the mother when she arrived at the maternal ward room. The parents drove directly to the City to have their baby treated in the State hospital. The nurse`s failure to change the hot water sparked public outrage. The incident occurred just a few days after the baby was born. Currently the baby girl is in a much better condition recovering from third degree burns. The red blisters on her body are beginning to disappear according to doctors.
