Khuvsgul local Sky TV bosses who allegedly beat and threatened television staff were charged in Khuvsgul aimag court on December 14th.  Khuvsgul province court sentenced B.Ganzorig, the executive director of Khuvsgul news LLC to 3.5 years and B.Lkhagvasuren to 3.1 years for threatening and doing physical violence to television journalists and cameramen. But Khuvsgul province court ordered the delay of B.Lkhagvasuren`s jail sentence to two years later because he has a child.  The court imposed a fine of 52 times the minimum labor wage, or 7 million MNT, to convict D.Ulanbayar who caused damage to properties and made threats.

Accusers agreed with the court decision.

But B.Ganzorig, the executive director of Khuvsgul news LLC announced his decision to appeal.

The incident happened during parliament voting day in Khuvsgul province on June 28th. B.Ganzorig, the executive director of Khuvsgul Sky TV, four other men and two women drunkenly invaded the program room to threaten and physically assault journalists and cameramen blaming them for bias towards the opposition party candidates by reporting positive news about them. After the incident the abused TV staff suffered brain damage and two cameramen had skull fractures.
