Mining experts say that the coal price, which has been kept down over the past months, has lead to an expected increase in price for coal in the coming months. The price increased by 850 yuan for washed coal, 650 yuan for raw coal which is relatively high, 30-50 yuan up from the price last month.

There has been a build-up in mines of coal fuel  due to slow demand over the past three months. It has been calculated that 11 percent of Mongolia`s budget benefit will be from coal exports in 2013.
