The Mining Journal Awards ceremony was held by the Mining Journal last Friday. The Mining Journal traditionally held the award ceremony every year with 6 nominations and 8 categories. This year, the Energy Resource LLC was awarded the Grand Prix with the highest point of 608.

J.Odjargal, the head of the Directors Board of the Energy Resource was nominated as man of the year by 558 votes or 18 percent of a total of 3362 votes. Twenty two researchers, scientists, businessmen and a qualified NGO representative who support reforms by cooperating and make real efforts in the mining sector of NGOs and professional organization stood for this nomination.

The Mining Journal Awards is separate from the State and any other financial influence and is independently organized.

The Mining Journal Awards stands apart from other awards with its professional selection for nationwide, socially worthwhile and eco-friendly companies. Therefore the jury panel consists of experts who are outstanding and independent in the sector.

This year, Erdenet Copper Production was selected as the best for responsible mining operations, Boroo Gold as the best eco-friendly mine, Erdmin as the best in the technology sector and Wagner Asia as being the best mining equipment supplier.
