MPP members who sit in the Mongolian parliament have discussed some issues including government issued sovereign bonds, the five members who are to swear into parliament, the amendment of the law of the parliamentary bylaw and whether MPP will form a group in parliament.

Parliament member Byambatsogt.S spoke to journalists. According to the statement, last week the Mongolian government issued bonds successfully but that it is uncertain how to invest the money and on what projects exactly.  He said that we are paying for the interest on the loan equal to the amount of money that could build a kindergarten every day. So we have to belong to a standing committee and form a caucus for control, but we are still not allowed.

They offered a proposal about forming a workgroup from the party because of growing apprehension in the parties with each other. MPPs emphasized the need to decide issues without violating the law that can be understood between each other . That means including the decision over which members will swear into parliament and to make a caucus in parliament to appoint aimag governor’s. Therefore we need to form a workgroup to propose a solution for the issues.

The Democratic party will decide to form a caucus in parliament after the decision to swear in five member into the parliament. What is yours position on this issue?

The reason that parliament cannot find a solution is that the Democratic Party took a break during the parliamentary session. Therefore, we have to request that they find a way to work and make a caucus from the different parties. This is not because two women members will swear in. But will decide after the negotiation among the three members of parliament. Therefore, first of all, we require a caucus to be made of MPP members in parliament.
