The superstition surrounding the doomsday prediction that there will be neither sunrise nor even a moon in the sky and that the earth will be lost in darkness on December 21st 2012 goes deeper than we think.  Due to this predictions many people are afraid, so Buddhist officials headed by the highest lama D.Natsagdorj in the Buddhist monastery Mamba Datsan have made a statement to public. The highest lama D.Natsagdorj  stated “There will no doomsday happening on December 21st 2012 according to the Buddhist faith and astrological theory. But the ozone layer is thin. The sun will rise and the moon will be seen as usual. Even disastrous weather phenomenon will not happen. Therefore people can rest and be calm”.
