Mongolian corruption level has declined according to a study by the International Anti-Corruption Agency Transparency International in 2012. President Elbegdorj Tsakhia said that Mongolia was ranked as the economy with the most growth in 2011. Mongolia is now ranked as the country with the most declined in corruption levels in 2012. There is no such record of any other country  doing the same during the launch of the Direct Democracy-Civil Participation program organized by president`s office  on December 6th.

Mongolia was ranked at 94th place in 2012, dropping y 26 countries , in contrast to the 120th place that Mongolia was previously ranked at. The Corruption Perceptions Index release by Transparency International ranks countries and territories based on how corrupt their public sector is perceived to be. President Elbegdorj said “This is a clear example of how important civil participation and law fulfillment is.  We need certain mechanisms to highlight problems, not just ones decided on by authorities “.
