This year is the 20 year anniversary of Songinokhairkhan district.

In October 1992, Songinokhairkhan district was restructured within the region according to a new system of law under the Mongolian Administrative and Territorial units and their Governance. The Residents` Representative Khural in Songinokhairkhan district held its first meeting with authorization from Parliament`s 18th decree, on October 1st 1992. During the first meeting of the Residents` Representative Khural in the district, they passed a decree to establish the district, with 100 percent attendance of members. For the 20th anniversary of Songinokhairkhan district authorities, staff and senior staff who worked or are currently working in the district were invited  to a ceremonial event and were shown respect by current authorities.

According to a report by the press office in Songinokhairkhan district the ceremonial meeting and performance for the 20th anniversary was held in the State Academic Drama Theatre on December 6th. During the ceremony the authorities of Songinokhairkhan district awarded with respect and prizes the best entrepreneurs, state servants and citizens for being outstanding with their goodwill efforts.
