The debate on Oyu Tolgoi related issues between Deputy Speaker S.Bayartsogt and MP S.Ganbaatar was scheduled to air on MNBTV today.  But an official has said that the debate was postponed by Speaker Z.Enkhbold because the issue may be politically motivated. The debate on Oyu Tolgoi related issues has been rescheduled to air on the MNBTV channel on 23rd November.

MP S.Ganbaatar stated:  “We should not postpone the debate. I and some other MPs will come to MNBTV at the scheduled time”, when he held a press conference today.  The Speaker said “We should run the debate after the Local Administrative Election to prevent any political party using Oyu Tolgoi related issues as an advantage in the election campaign.” The Secretariat Office of the Parliament officially delivered a note to the two MPs to postpone the open debate last week.
