Australian lawyer Sarah Armstrong endured a fourth round of questioning today in Mongolia, nearly a month after being detained in the country.

Ms Armstrong is the chief legal counsel for South Gobi Resources, majority owned by Rio Tinto, and has been held in the country since October 19.

She has been held for questioning in relation to corruption allegations within the company.

It remains unclear when Ms Armstrong will be allowed to leave the country.

Family friend Luke Dean has just returned from Mongolia where he spent a week with Ms Armstrong.

Mr Dean said the stress of the situation was taking its toll on Ms Armstrong.
“She just wants this to be resolved,” Mr Dean said.
