The State Great Khural committed the Government to set an oil reservoir with a minimum of 120,000 tons or two month-usage and to commission the building of more containers to keep the oil. The 48th decree was passed in 2008. But this decree has never been implemented and no oil importers have updated their oil reserves while the number of domestic importers has risen and oil demands have increased since 2008. Therefore the Government has reached a decision to update the importing companies’ names and type of reservoir including volume.

The Government updated and increased the State oil reservoir to hold a volume of up to 60 days usage during yesterday`s meeting. The State oil reservoir formerly covered only up to 20 days usage. The decree will be implemented by the 1st March 2013 and reported on every August.
