Mongolian students, contract workers demanded a justice by demonstrating outside Ministry of Justice for a mystery death of a Mongolian killed in a detention facility in Hwaseong city of South Korea in last August. This incident happened on August 24 when South Korean Immigration officials had detained 4 Mongolian men after arresting them while they were at work. They were all illegal workers from Mongolia. But one of the four is dead now. He was apparently beaten so badly by the Korean officials at the detention facility and died on August 27th. The other three men are already flew back to Mongolia. According to the information exchanged by the Mongolians living in South Korea, the victim hit two Immigration officers when they grabbed him to arrest. There was some struggle between them. But Korean sites reported that Mongolian guy has died because of his health issue caused by alcohol in detention facility. The victim was fine when he called twice from the jail to his family in Mongolia to inform them that he was arrested and was in jail. He talked to his wife and his two children and told them that he was doing OK. Then immigration officials put him again in a different room, much smaller and that is where he died. The video taken by the jail cameras shows that he falls down on the floor as soon as he gets inside of that room, apparently beaten. Mongolians in Mongolia claim that the immigration officials are guilty for a Mongolian man`s death and wanted an investigation on the case and a fair trial.
