Local elections will be held on 21st November. The Election General Committee has officially announced the number of candidates in accordance with election law.  This time local elections will be held to vote for members of the Resident`s Representative Board in provinces and districts using a mixed system.

The Election General Committee announced that 2765 candidates will compete for 985 seats in the Resident`s Representative Board in provinces and districts. A majority system will be used to select 689 of 985 seats and 336 by proportional system. Six parties and two coalitions have already announced that they will participate in the Resident`s Representative Board in province and districts.

Candidate nominations are as follows:

MPP and DP only nominated their candidates while MPRP were jointly nominated from Civil Will, Green Party coalition and MNDP in some voting units. 1029 candidates of MPP, 1019 of DP, 115 of Civil Will-Green party coalition, 28 of Civil Justice coalition, MPRP and Civil Will-Green party, 46 of MNDP, 69 of Justice coalition from MPRP-MNDP, 6 of Freedom Implementing party, 332 of MPRP have been nominated.  134 independent candidates have been nominated in the Resident`s Representative Board in province and districts. 16,369 candidates have been nominated for 6828 seats in the Resident`s Representative Board in soums.
