Jambalsuren
Zolbayar, better known to his countrymen as Amai, left Mongolia on
November 4, 2005 and came back after 4 years, 6 months and 12 days. His
wanderlust took him to 69 countries including Russia,
Finland, Sweden, Norway,
Denmark, Germany, France,
Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia,
Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia.

President
Ts.Elbegdorj received Zolbayar on Monday and said his spirit of adventure would
forever inspire the youth of Mongolia.
He urged him to share his experiences widely.

Zolbayar
handed over a flag of Mongolia to the President that he carried with him as he
covered 70,000 km. He said he had left his homeland because he wanted to see how
other people lived but now that he had seen so much, he was “proud and happy to
say that the most beautiful country is Mongolia”. He traveled across some
countries within just 90 minutes, but one can’t cross Mongolia’s
territory in even a few days.

He
thanked the Mongolian people for their goodwill and said he would like to
describe all the notable things he had seen during his travel so that
Mongolians could learn a few things in terms of politics, social mores and attitudes.
