The Election General Committee made its final decision on two controversial mandates in Uvurkhangai province on October 16th.  The Election General Committee determined that two candidates, N.Tumurkhuu and S.Chinzorig, were in violation of Election law and revoked their temporary certificates for MP.  The Committee appointed DP candidates G.Batkhuu and D.Zorigt from the Uvurkhangai province as MP’s and they took their oath.

The Election General Committee made the 148th resolution based on the 2nd chapter of article 48 in the Election Law andchapter 1.3 of article 12 in the Election campaign headquarter law and submitted this to Parliament speaker Z.Enkhbold.

The candidates who won 40.39 percent of the poll in Uvurkhangai have become MPs because of the resolution and the Election General Committee announced that the resolution on the controversial mandate is final.

Last week the 10th voting unit in Uvurkhangai province determined that it had revealed that MPP candidates violated the Election law by involving teenagers in the election campaign.

The Election General Committee then discussed the illegal actions surrounding the voting and withdrew the results.  The Committee also received information that MPP candidates S.Chinzorig and N.Tumurkhuu distributed gifts and bribe money to voters during their campaign. Now the Police Department in Uvurkhangai is investigating the case related to these claims.
