Minister for Road and Transportation of Mongolia Mr. A.Gansukh announced to develop a railroad construction along the south of Bogd Khan mountain.  The project is expected build a new 170 km railroad  to connect relay stations Mandal-Bagakhangai, drive through Batsumber, Altanbulag, Sergelen, Bayan soums in Tuv province. The project will run from 2012-2016.  An estimation by “Ulaanbaatar Railway”, a shareholder`s community between Russia and Mongolia indicated that 326,8 million us dollar will be provided to develop the project.

“Bogd Khan Railway”project is expected to open a new possibility to represent local train service as using the City through 35 km railway as public transport. So it will take only 15 minutes to travel from one side of the city to another.

It is significant not only to pass 15 stations in such a short time but also to develop the parallel flow in public transport as resolving the traffic jam in the City.

The existent railroad which is partly intersected to the city through railroad and road produce the heavy traffic jam.  I  other hand the smoke from the tracker plays a big role to the air pollution. And Bogd Khan Railway project will solve all those problems said the officials.
