
The 11thannual international symposium titled“Urban Safety of Mega Cities in Asia” began today at the Government house under the support of the president. The symposium, which originated in Tokyo in 2002, has been held every year in different Asian mega-city. The symposium was previously held in Tokyo, Kobe, Delhi, Singapore, Bangkok, Chang Mai, Dhaka, Beijing, and Incheon. Each year scientific studies, research, and technology developments are introduced that might help resolve current issues in Asian mega cities. At this year’s symposium over 70 researchers, experts, and scientists from 16 countries will introduce presentations and results of research work on urban planning, equality for construction, and measures to avoid disasters. Organizers hope that the presentations and research that is shared will be useful in solvingcurrent problems in Ulaanbaatar. The symposium will be held October10th through the 12th.
