Dozens of MPs collected signatures in order to have the OyuTolgoi Investment Agreement changed. Some 26 parliament members presented the petition to the Prime Minister. The petition stated:“The OyuTolgoi Investment Agreement only enables foreigners access to Mongolia’s wealth, but, it must be revised and changed into a mutually beneficial agreement.” There is also a claim that the OyuTolgoi Investment Agreement is not compatible with Parliament’s Resolution 57 and has violated Mongolia’s Constitution. MP’s S.Ganbaatar and S.Bayartsogt will debate on the issue at 12 o`clock on October 8th. S.Ganbaatar is one of the politicians who is claiming the OyuTolgoi Investment Agreement is biased and is calling out S.Bayartsogt and other members of parliament who signed the OyuTolgoi Investment Agreement to the field meeting.
