About 100 Malaysians and representatives from foreign
countries celebrated Malaysia Day in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia on
September 17, 2012, reported Bernama.

The tarik (literally pulled tea), a specialty among the
Malaysian comminuty, and traditional Malaysian dances were performed after the
National Anthem was played.

Malaysian Ambassador to China Datuk Iskandar Sarudin said
this was the first time that the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing, China organized
a Malaysia Day reception here, in conjunction with Malaysia’s 49^th
anniversary and 55^th year of Independence.

Since 2010, the Malaysian envoy in Beijing has been
concurrently accreditied to Mongolia.
