President Elbegdorj received the Member of the Federal Assembly of the State
Duma of Russian Federation Mikhail Viktorovich Slipenchuk. He is one of the two
candidates elected to the Federal Assembly of the State Duma from the Republic
of Buryatia.

At the meeting Mikhail Viktorovich Slipenchuk said “The faction consisting of
15 Members was created in the State Duma. By creating the group we are able to
pay close attention to expanding relations and partnership in the entire border
region of Mongolia”.

“Also the Lake Baikal Forum was founded. Recently, the session of this Forum
was held and we would like to express our interest in establishing cooperative
relations with Mongolia. We greatly appreciate and support your commitment for
environmental protection initiatives and we express our willingness to work
with you in this sphere” noted Mikhail Viktorovich Slipenchuk.

Both sides exchanged views on enhancing bilateral economic ties between the two
countries.
