Ulaanbaatar City Mayor organized on August 14, Thuesday, a first public
discussion on capital city traffic jam and road reparation.  

Many citizens came to express their solutions on most facing problem of
Ulaanbaatar city. Number of cars in Ulaanbaatar increased to 210 thousand from
108 thousand in 2008.

Ch.Bat suggested to use public transport for 155 thousand state workers instead
came to office by private car. “Most of parking place near the state
organizations fulfilled state employee’s car. Citizens complained that when
they came to state organizations couldn’t find a parking” said Ch.Bat.

Currently only three public parking
is operating in Ulaanbaatar-City Administration Office, Sport Palace and Drama
Theatre. The Ulaanbaatar City Administration is planning to increase paid
parking to 24. Paid parking is one of the way to reduce traffic jam said
Ulaanbaatar city officials.
