By the new Election law Mongolians who lives and
study abroad have a right to vote for the election. And on June 10 Mongolians in
abroad voted for the parliamentary election a first time. But they voted for
the political parties not for candidates.
A sealed voting list counted yesterday night by the General
Election Commission. A total 2777 mongolians participated in the election. As
result 45,38 percent (1242) of Mongolians in abroad voted for Democratic Party
and 24,48 percent (670) voted for Mongolian People’s Party.
