65.24 percent of Mongolians from 1,83 million registered
voters participated parliamentary and Ulaanbaatar City Representative Khural’s
election held on June 28, Thursday.
The General Election Commission has received count of 2000 polling
stations voting results from 2400 by 2 am of June 29. Remaining 400 polling
station’s count haven’t submitted yet to the General Election Commission. “We
don’t know why count of 400 polling stations are still missing. Those polling
stations located in capital city. It means communication network should work properly
without any delay. If it occurred some where in countryside we could understand”
said N.Altankhuyag, leader of Democratic Party of Mongolia at 2 am morning to
the journalists.
The Democratic Party announced today morning at 8 am DP has
at least 36 seat in the parliament. “We have received count information from DP’s
branches and it is certain that DP get 23 mandat from 48 majoritarian seats.
Mongolian People’s Party 19, Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Part and Mongolian
National Democratic Party’s coalition 3 and three independent candidates got a
majority vote. Regarding to the Ulaanbaatar City Representative Khural’s
election Democratic Party got 12 seats from 14. As you know 28 more and 15 more
seats by proportional election system. It means Democratic Party can get 13
more seats in the parliament and 7-8 seats in the Ulaanbaatar City
Representative Khural” said Ch.Saikhanbileg to the journalists.
