The Mongolian mining sector
celebrating 90^th anniversary. Within the 90th anniversary on
establishment of Mongolian mining sector, a “Mining Mongolia-90” forum started yesterday,
on May 9, 2012.

In his welcoming speech Mineral and Energy Minister D.Zorigt
noticed 30 percent of GDP belongs to mining sector. “Around 50 thousand Mongolians
working in the mining sector. It means Mongolians benefit from mining sector”
said D.Zorigt.

A first day’s discussion held under the subject “Investment
and legislation environment of mining sector and financial market”. Participants
expressed that a mineral rich Mongolia needed an infrastructure development to
benefit of resource. Also main issue was protection of environment.

The forum continued today.
